Theta Sleep Clinic
FAQS
What do you treat at Theta Sleep Clinic?
We support adults seeking better sleep—whether you’re dealing with chronic insomnia, occasional disruptions, or simply looking to optimize your rest. This includes difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep, waking too early, or feeling unrefreshed despite a full night in bed. Our care is customized, evidence-based, and rooted in gold-standard tools like CBT-I (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia), along with other practical strategies tailored to your body, schedule, and goals.
What is a direct-pay clinic?
A direct-pay clinic is a healthcare model where you pay for each visit directly, rather than going through insurance. It’s a simple, transparent way to receive care without surprise bills or confusing networks.
Why don’t you take insurance?
We intentionally chose not to work with insurance because it allows us to:
- Spend more time with each person
- Offer personalized, flexible care not limited by insurance rules
- Be fully transparent about pricing—you’ll always know the cost up front
- Avoid the delays and restrictions that often come with insurance approvals
This model helps us focus entirely on what works best for your sleep—not what gets reimbursed.
How much do visits cost?
Our current rates are:
- 20 minute Discovery Call: free
- Initial evaluation (75–90 minutes): $100
- 60-minute follow-up: $90
- Short follow-up (30 minutes): $60–$75
We keep our fees as accessible as possible while still providing in-depth, high-touch care. You’ll never receive a surprise bill.
Can I use insurance to get reimbursed?
You may be able to get partial reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits. We’re happy to provide you with a superbill—a receipt with diagnosis and billing codes—that you can submit to your insurance company.
Many clients also choose to use HSA or FSA funds to pay for their visits.
What is CBT-I, and how can it help?
CBT-I (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia) is the gold-standard treatment for chronic insomnia—and it works better than sleeping pills in the long run. It’s a structured, evidence-based approach that helps you retrain your brain and body to sleep well again.
Instead of just managing symptoms, CBT-I addresses the root causes of your sleep struggles by helping you:
- Rebuild a healthy, sleep-promoting routine
- Break frustrating patterns like “trying harder” to sleep
- Reduce anxiety and overthinking at bedtime
- Strengthen your natural sleep drive and circadian rhythm
- Build confidence in your body’s ability to sleep
Most people see meaningful improvement in 2–6 weeks, even if they’ve been struggling for years.
At Theta, we personalize CBT-I to your lifestyle, your goals, and your nervous system. You won’t get a generic protocol—we work with you to create a plan that feels doable and sustainable.
How quickly will I see results?
While every person is different, most people begin noticing improvements in sleep within 2–3 weeks of starting care. If you’re motivated and engaged in the process, our goal is to help you make lasting changes within 6–8 weeks.
How soon can I get started?
Most people are able to book an initial visit within 1–2 weeks. Because we’re a small, direct-pay clinic, we don’t have long waitlists. We also offer telehealth visits, so you can access care from the comfort of your home—no commute needed.
What makes your approach different?
At Theta, we do things a little differently. You won’t find rushed visits or one-size-fits-all advice. Instead, we offer:
- High-quality, personalized care rooted in evidence and delivered with compassion
- Longer visits so we can truly understand what’s happening with your sleep
- Custom sleep plans based on what’s realistic and sustainable for you
- A collaborative, non-judgmental space where your experience is taken seriously
What if I’ve already tried everything?
Many of our clients have “tried everything” before coming to us. The difference at Theta is that we don’t just hand you a generic sleep hygiene list and send you on your way. We work with your unique patterns, habits, and nervous system to build a plan that’s both evidence-based and actually doable.
If you’re not sleeping well, we can help.
How can I tell if I’m a good fit for your clinic?
We offer a free 20-minute discovery call so you can get to know us before committing to care. This is a chance to share what’s been going on with your sleep, ask any questions you have, and see if our approach feels like a good fit. There’s no pressure—it’s just a conversation.
You can schedule your discovery call directly through our booking page or by contacting us.
